Pre-congress workshop “Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Chronic Depression”

The Cognitive Behavioral Analysis System of Psychotherapy (CBASP) was developed specifically to treat the chronically depressed adult.This workshop will teach the participant to: Describe the person x environment model of chronic depression  used to guide treatment planning, identify CBASP treatment targets and how to structure treatment for chronically depressed patients, and explain basic strategies used in CBASP including situational analyses, transference hypotheses and disciplined personal involvement.

This one day training is designed to give the participant exposure to CBASP and to equip practitioners with techniques they can apply to clinical cases upon completion.
